Benefits of Dance Training

A recent article in Prima magazine spoke of all-round health benefits of dance classes. As well as keeping physically fit and active, dance classes help develop memory skills, patience, concentration and right-left brain co-ordination.  Early dance training helps a developing brain make more links to make memorising easier.

Dance encourages the valuing of each member of the team (and to be valued yourself) in a non-competitive co-operative fun atmosphere. Dance helps to fire imagination and to develop an emotional response to music.

Confidence grows as achievements and goals are realised and acknowledged and awards gained.

Ballet training is particularly useful as it is the basic building block of most forms of dance, early ballet training will make all forms of dancing easier to learn in later life.

Pupils of the School are encouraged to consider others, to work together as groups during class and performances.  Not only to shine themselves but to allow others to shine. Also, they dance at local nursing homes and clubs.  So far, they have raised over £4000 for local charities.  Many letters of thanks have been received from local organisations—everyone should be very proud of themselves to share the joy of dance with others.
